New Avenues for Youth
New Avenues for Youth works in partnership with the community to prevent youth homelessness and provide young people experiencing or at-risk of homelessness the resources and skills needed to lead healthy, productive lives.
Since 1997, New Avenues for Youth’s programs and services have impacted more than 20,000 young people as they work to overcome barriers, pursue their goals, and realize their potential. From supporting basic needs like meals and housing to providing opportunities for education, job training, employment, and counseling, they meet youth where they are—and help them get where they want to go.

Impacting generational change by empowering youth through relationships with professional mentors – 12+ years, no matter what.
Youth born into generational poverty face systemic and societal barriers that are difficult to overcome on their own. Friends of the Children helps youth dramatically change their story by providing a full time, salaried,
professional mentor, or a Friend, from kindergarten through graduation. 12 ½ years. No matter what.
For over 26 years, Friends of the Children has been relentlessly dedicated to helping youth navigate life’s greatest challenges. They are social innovators, using the latest research combined with committed relationships to break down the barriers of poverty and allow youth to build brighter futures for themselves and their communities.
